About the Role
As AI Track Lead at Link, you will be responsible for leading R&D projects across various domains such as pharmaceutical, defense, automotive/manufacturing, and finance.
You will be an essential part of Link, actively contributing to our projects from understanding technical feasibility and the necessary methodology, to driving the implementation and ensuring a smooth handover to production. Your work will include leading the team, communicating with industrial and academic partners, as well as hands-on implementation.
You will also help to build a team of AI researchers and engineers that will collaborate closely with technical experts from partner companies of Link, the Link’s Robotics team, and academic partners.
Requirements
You have a strong background in ML (PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field is preferred), enjoy continuously keeping track of the state of the art in AI, and at the same time prioritize pragmatic solutions for real business problems
To thrive in this role,
You have working experience as data scientist or a similar role for at least 3 years and been involved in development and deployment of ML models for solving business problems; an equivalent experience in a startup environment is welcome
You are interested in and have a track record of leading and mentoring more junior colleagues, and taking responsibility for driving projects
You have proficiency in the Python programming language, experience working with ML packages; experience with lower-level programming languages, such as C++, is an advantage
You have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas, and are willing to learn about the others:
Time series modeling and analysis
Reliable Generative AI applications and Agentic systems
Multimodal foundation models (training/fine-tuning)
ML models for physics simulations
You have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership
You have great communication skills and fluency in English
